Workers’ Compensation

Don’t fight an insurance company alone
Workers’ Compensation pays benefits for injuries or illnesses sustained on the job. It’s different from Social Security Disability, which pays benefits to those who can’t work regardless of an injury. If you’re injured at work, you need experienced attorneys like the ones at Solomon, Sullivan and Romo.
We offer a free consultation to explain the Workers’ Compensation system and to discuss your options.
Who is eligible for workers’ compensation?
If you work for a Florida company and your employer has more than four employees, your employer is legally required to have Workers’ Compensation insurance. That means you’re covered by Workers’ Compensation insurance for any work-related accident or injury.
How do I file a workers’ compensation claim?
If you’re injured in a workplace accident, you need to provide notice to your employer within 30 days. If you have any questions about the process, we offer a free consultation to help you understand your options.

How do I choose a workers’ comp attorney?
When it comes to Workers’ Comp, some attorneys want to get your case processed as quickly as possible. They’ll tell you to “just sign the papers,” they won’t call you back, they’ll make you track down your own medical records and they won’t answer any questions you have. At Solomon, Sullivan and Romo, we’ll work on your case like you’re one of our own. When you contact our firm, we’ll get back to you within one day to schedule an appointment to meet with one of our attorneys or paralegals.
